although plot wise i do prefer the novel better
Manhwa/manhua/... adaptations needs to engage viewers, considering the attention span of a person nowadays, I would make it shorter and simpler for them to understand. Most novelists are a 'one person' company or associated with one which gives them more free time and to go in-depth with characters, details, research,... which makes it better.
One popular example is when they butcher or change the artstyle of a manga to anime adaptation, through some details vary.
