Anybody else that uses the Ridibo*ks (app) to read korean novels? If so, what do you use to mtl the novels?
The screen translation app I've been using for years just stopped working (despite me having PAID for it), I'm pissed but it seems to be the only one working for Ridib*oks HELP I'M DESPERATE

If you passionate like me, you’d go to the pc app, slowly copy 1 small section at a time (it won’t let you just copy so you gotta open up this search phrase dictionary thing in the app and copy from there) and paste into translator app before pasting the translation into a Google doc to read
(I’m not joking it took me 4 hours to copy, translate, copy, paste the entire volume 7 of rainbow city because I didn’t wanna wait for translations)

Thank you! I knew of this method but only used it like once because it took a long time and then totally forgot about it, I'm just gonna do this then
That or I'm just gonna use Go*gle translate on my phone to scan and immediately translate the pages on my pc's screen

Do you buy books? Like the epub ones?
Because most of the things i buy are webnovels basically every chapter is out not per volume so i just open them in my browser and use google translate

But my phone does have an onscreen translator built in which i use for the webtoons in ridi, its using google with scroll to translate ... i do have a samsung flagship tho (s25)

Also the most desperate ive done is just buy the book in ridi and proceed to go to n*wt0ki for novels like Reunion(unavailable in webnovel format) and read every chapter upload there with autotranslate

A lot of the novels I buy are unfortunately only available as volumes instead of single chapters (probably those serialized outside Ridi and then published there all at once), and those can only be read on the app TT

Then you can definitely buy them and then look for them in b00k/newtoki! Thats what i did. Because i can directly translate it in a browser . It seems very counterproductive to buy it and read in in a pirate site but its the best way i can support the author and also understanding their work

No no you're absolutely right, that makes sense! I'm ashamed to say that I also read a lot of stuff on bookt*ki and newt*ki lmao, I'm so novel-hungry that I can't afford to buy even the stuff I don't particularly like
