In no part of my comment did I state that joohyeok was obligated to reciprocate suahs feelings tho??? My issue with him is for his own disregard of his wellbeing. This has been my issue with him from the start. We watch him staunchly reject his secondary gender so doggedly it’s not only warped his mindset about himself but also how he interacts with his body and his needs. In no way do I sanction suahs actions but for now our context on that is from joohyeoks pov and mans is an unreliable narrator and I take his perspective on things with a grain of salt. Ull have to show me an instance of where it’s shown that joohyeok would have issues receiving the assistance he needs coz my current pov of him is that he’s from a well do to home with a doting parent who tho unfamiliar with it was ready and willing to understand this new unexpected change in her child. Yes suah is a pathetic man that keeps chasing after a bond that’s been broken for a long time but again I don’t have proper context for him as a character coz that’s barely been explored so I’m saving my opinion on him for now. I completely agree with you! I’m very fond of both characters bc I can see where both of them are coming from but they’re also both incredibly annoying and immature at the moment. With Juhyeok, I really really wish that he would take his health more seriously. Bc he’s put himself in more of a precarious position to not consistently seek professional help on what can subdue his heats and keep himself in check, which is what is leading to the toxic ways he views himself and will rely on Suah. While I think it was wrong of Suah to scent him without his consent, I don’t think it makes Juhyeok ANY better to take advantage of Suah’s love for him to make him give him cumbaths then discarding him to the side. That’s a form of using him sexually for his own purposes. It’s not a healthy dynamic for either of them, and they both need to do a lot of work so that they can have a happier, healthier dynamic. A lot of Juhyeok’s problems could be solved with inner work to better understand and accept himself like therapy first, omega companions, and regular clinical checkups (that could let him know the right suppressants to take, his heat cycle, and overall just understanding his own body more).

Both of em won’t learn unless it’s the hard way if we’re going by the author’s past work. They love them some angst. Their communication skills are shit and I blame joohyeok for that coz we’ve seen suah try to relate with him in some ways but joos default with him is to act like an aggravated cat and just hissing and clawing all over the place so that’s always a bust.
