Yihyun(ML) is not actually seeking Sunwoo(MC) for revenge. He just doesn't know how else he could keep Sunwoo in a place where Sunwoo can finally live a chill and happy life (he knows the hardship sunwoo went through), he's obsessed with him bc even though he was the reason for his trauma, he was also his salvation. Yihyun's thinking isn't normal, understandably so, he thinks that Sunwoo is only safe if he's with him and within a locked room bcz that's how Sunwoo kept him safe during his kidnapping. He has a twisted view of things because of what happened during their childhood, he isn't actually taking revenge, but just acting like he is(that boi is a tsundere). Their past plays a very big part towards the way they are portrayed in their adult days. Yihyun feels guilty while confining Sunwoo but he still would never let him go and Sunwoo is more than fine with it (in this economy, who wouldn't be?), there's a part in the novel where Sunwoo confesses his love for Yihyun and Yihyun was like "This must be stockholm syndrome" and appoints a psychiatrist for Sunwoo

But really, Sunwoo is just happy with the confinement because not only does he get 3 meals a day, a wonderful place to live in, he's extremely pampered too (and he's also finally able to have desires*cough* sex *cough*, which used to be a luxury for him bcz of his life condition). Either way, Yihyun's idea of confinement and kidnapping is really just pampering and spoiling Sunwoo, and my Lord who wouldn't fall in love with that?

(Afaik, the first time they had sex, real penetration, it only happened bcz Sunwoo begged for it bcz he felt like them rubbing their cocks together wasn't enough to satisfy him at all correct me if I'm wrong)

Overall, in terms of obsessiveness, it's pretty tame and amongst other confinement BLs, they have a pretty healthy relationship. Their step towards getting over their trauma was also pretty well-written and....explicit LOLOL (they had sex while the other one's in the cage and the other is outside of it)
