Honestly idk why the MCs mom is catching the strays when she's just a maiden inlove, when the person to blame the king is not even mentioned once.
It's the kings fault for even having a one night stand AND IMPREGNATING the woman, no protection or anything. But of course the woman and the kid is to blame for existing Infront of the oh so holy, charming king.
MCs mom was just in love, the choice to accept or dismiss the woman was the king, but he accepted the advance, impregnated the woman and proceeded to let his kid almost die of a poison attack.
Ik this is like a "wholesome" kind of story. But I can't with MC's mom being all madly in love with this old king who doesn't even love HER son, the proof of their affair. Another one I don't like, is that MC's mom is clearly a homewrecker who doesn't care if she's a side hoe lol. Like I know this is considered "normal" but even before having an affair is bad, so seeing this I can definitely say YEP this story isn't for me. I love the art though!
