What I'm saying is that if all the Yuri you read is toxic then you haven't actually tried looking for Yuri stories. Anyways I left a lot of cute yuru stories in my other comment.

I agree there is no reason gatekeeping. But it's also frustrating when people make a stigma on Yuri for being toxic when Yaoi and Straight stories have the same if not more amount of toxic stories due to them having more stories overall.

If you really want to read something, you will go out of your way to look for it. Meaning people who say that about any genre didn't really try to find good stories but they just looked at the top 10 and based their entire opinion on that.
