okay, so in short, the reason why the previous body of MC was bigger and stronger was that ML needed someone to rely on and learn how to function as a human, also as the king, since ML was literally like a beast before. After ML lost his Regas, He became a cruel leader, but with the knowledge given by his Regas. So he knows what he needs to fight against the king's heart and learn to sharpen his sword. Now that MC is reincarnated as a weak body, ML needs to relearn how to soften his edges and take care of his regas as well as his people. Yeah, the flow truly makes sense.

Now it makes more sense that the regas die before and have a bigger body since the ml need someone to rely on and some one he can trust and the regas make the choice of not telling his friend that he is dying or being poisoned since that is the only safe solution since the regas does not any support or someone in power to protect him and the ml, since the ml is also treated like a wild beast/ monster and the regas knows that, that's why even thou the regas has known that he is being poisoned he never ask for a antidote or medicine and only tell his trusted friend that he is dying when it's too late and only give them a brief reason on why. The regas only told the people who he trust to protect and take care of the ml when he is gone. And now that the regas got reincarnated into a less bigger body now since the ml before need protection physically and emotionally and now the ml need to know how to protect his regas and his people and know how to control himself and not go crazy.
