Well to be fair even if they were forced, the mc ACTUALLY prefers presenting as a man than a woman, the father kinda did them a favor in that aspect I guess? I mean it was said that they are non-binary, as in they feel like neither, but lean more towards identifying as a man and feel uncomfortable at the thought of people seeing them as a woman. Idk, I dropped it a while ago because I began to find the back and forth of the romance to be frustrating but from what I remember it seemed like a pretty good representation of being non-binary in a conservative society? But I'm NOT non-binary so I might be totally wrong, correct me if I am

Trans and nonbinary are already problematic. I do find that many nonbinary struggles are because people may place it under the trans umbrella when it's supposed to not be a binary gender. You can be nonbinary and lean towards a masc identity that does not make you FTM or trans; you can want to be identified with the pronouns or gender. But that does not make you less of who you are.Forcing a gender upon someone can give people gender problems in how they see themselves, so it's really not a good thing at all.I personally used to struggle with gender identity until I just decided I don't want to be boxed in as this or that.Well, I never read the story, so I can't give an input on it.

I don't think it did a favor to Osora cuz even though they represent themself as masculine rn, Osora is still confuse about themself because they NEED to a man, not WANT.

But lowkey they're kinda good representation for non-binary. Only lowkey cuz they only scratch that part of the plot, not as deep as it should be

Ps. Currently reading chapter 72, so idk if they will dive deeper as the story progress

It's annoying too that they force Osora to be a man but still homophobic lol
