My guess is it's because he was being a little mean to Haneul (because he likes the other twink at work, and thought they were getting too close), but this was him realizing Haneul has his own man, and isn't a "threat". Just a theory!
Why that colleague looking at them like that, its not weird to pick your roommate up #－.－) even IF they look so close, its still normal and why would u care.
Or maybe its just me who reads too much into his reaction xD kinda looked like author was trying to put more attention to it idk
