Exactly like, he met Andrew like that, you can't just change him into another person in a short time
Even in the long term knowing what andrew went through, how much he doesn't trust people and that he's just introverted in general why would you push that person to become someone they're not. It's not like Andrew is isolating Luke or not hanging out with his friends or doesn't go to social outings with him is just that he doesn't make friends of his own and that is OKAYYY

Also at least Luke realized he was in the wrong here you can't just make a person more social or change the way that they feel about other people
