From what they talk about for the medicine. There’s no abortion method that didn’t involve nearly killing yourself too. If it was really that bad of a situation it be far easier to lock her up for a year then get rid of the kid. The story is also just very pro life and children in general, but it’s moderately well written to excuse it
As far as I know, even in the Paleolithic there were methods used to terminate pregnancies. In Middle Ages it became more controversial because of church doctrine, and those who knew how to do it were often executed as witches. But even my great-great-grandmother, who lived in european village and was something like a herbal healer, told me about the properties of certain plants. Funny enough, the herb used for abortions even has word “mother” in its name.
Aborting is not an easy choice, not saying raising a child alone is, but just by reading you can see she would probably regret it, and seeing how she reacted when that bitch tried to harm the child, she’s already too attached. And yes there are countless way to abort but how many are safe? Many died in the process and that’s exactly why it’s now legal (at least in my country) to help women who decide to make this difficult choice without having to die or hurting their body permanently

So, I’m only at the beginning, but I’m surprised that no one even suggested option of an abortion, not even the doctor. And her friend is super suspicious… mb her ex is actually in love with fls "friend"?
Idk is this story even worth reading?
