Idk how caught up in the novel I am, so grain of salt
- Ain’s mom was a southerner who misunderstood Northern customs about premarital relations and spent her years raising Ain with faith his father would come back to marry her. Ain wanted her to give up on it so they could live without it hanging over them, so he eventually managed to explain it to her… and p much next day, she took her own life
- Ain managed to build a fortune while his father’s family were struggling, and basically buys his way in to becoming an heir despite his illegitimate status. His bratty half-sister p much resents him for this
- His stepmom was never particularly fond of him and ends up dying of an ‘accident’; idk about the allegations, but she’s already dead by the time the events of this story kick off with Michelle. I forget if she ended up supporting him for heir or not, I might be mixing that up with another novel.
As far as the English translations I was reading, that was as much as I heard about the stepmom tbh.
just saw a spoiler where someone said that ian/ain gets gr4p3d by his stepmom then proceeds to kill her??????? Can someone plz spoil if this happened before ian/ain and michelle got together or if it was while they were together cuz…….
