okay so the "him and hyungshin supposedly gave up during the early start of the game" info was from Yongtaek right? Im sure we can trust him but we also have to realize that in YT's and JS's "testimonies", when theyve had their tapes inserted, both point to the fact that SC manipulated them. So this means that the info from YT about HS and JS removing their own tapes could be misleading. Its possible that SC made YT believe that they removed their tapes bc they couldnt take it anymore when in reality SC was the one who manipulated them and removed their tapes in the first place.
SC in everyone's pov so far:
- YT's pov: SC used Bada to convince YT to insert a tape (to become a player again)
- from SC himself: he tricked Doha and removed his tape to secure his own survival
- JS's pov: SC manipulated them to remove their tapes
- and us reader's pov: he ejected Bada's tape just so he could mess with Doha
the point is, all of these lead to SC being a manipulative antagonist. and also "i just dont understand why jaeseob wants hyungshin's and yeontaek's tapes"... dont forget about what the first thing that JS did and said when he got his memories back. he hit SC and said "if seongchan's your enemy, im glad to be here". clearly he has a grudge on SC and that his comrades (maybe allies should be the better wordhere?) are HS and YT, maybe thats why he wants to get their tapes. i mean i dont really know how else to explain it, but if i were in JS's shoes id also become protective and make sure my trusted friends are safe/doing good. id also want to get their tapes back to "revive" them.
This is really interesting tyy!! Considering that line about Seongchan being Doha's enemy, Jaesob 100% must've uncovered his real motives and Seongchan took him out before he alerted the others. But the part I don't understand is, if Jaesob is close enough to Hyungshin and Youngtaek to want their tapes back, why was Hyungshin's tape the only one pulled out? Did Hyungshin decide to follow Jaesob? or did he also know something?
omg it does makes sense that jeoseob caught on seongchan's real motives!! but just a thought tho, why was doha's tape ejected last. if we were to compare them all, wouldnt it be doha who's the sharpest and most capable person to stop seongchan with his motive? im sure theres some more to uncover there. thats probably the big reveal this season. As for "why was Hyungshin's tape the only one pulled out?", maybe because hyungshin and jeoseob comes like a pair so if jeoseob's tape is removed and would follow the system's npc script, that would raise and red flag on hyungshin. and that probably annoyed SC. which also makes me wonder why SC chose to "revive" yeongtaek and made him play again? was it because out of the three (JS, HS, and YT), he's the most capable? like what's his reasoning?

Huh? I’m sorry but didn’t Yongtaek say that Jaesob pulled out his own tape WILLINGLY in ch. 51? That left Doha, Seongchan, and Yongtaek playing the game before Bada came into the picture. Also this Jaesob doesn’t know about Bada who plays the game, meaning it does line up with the timeline. So basically his tape was ejected by Seongchan since Doha didn’t know it was Jaesob’s tape either, and Yongtaek probably didn’t know either.
