Osiris took over anubis body n wanted to absorb/ devour him completely so that he could be able to leave duat which he cant cuz he's dead n bound to duat as its king. He planned to fuse seth to himself as well but seth sensed anubis was still there resisting so seth wagered himself as sacrifice n agreed to leave with osirs to duat n have segs with him if he lets anubis go. Osiris agreed n now seth is dead before horus could intervene n stop them. Isis fought off sekhmet who stalled her n horus for hurting hathor. Then we see isis self inflicted curse break n now everyone's free from it. Khepri the bald child who appeared in some initial chapters is god of dawn and rebirth/ resurrection. He's one of the sun gods besides ra and atum. Khepri instructs horus to find Ra in her temple cuz acc to Egyptian mythology, Ra has influence over duat as well because every night Atum/aten/ Ra rides their sun boat across sky n passes thru duat to fight apep and bring about dawn. Maybe if horus could get a ride on ra's boat he would be able to go duat without needing to die. But even gods cant withstand the immense gravity of Ra n aura of her boat easily forget a demigod so horus might be cornered n forced to ascend.
