BL authors creates an enviroment where these types of scenes are normalized, for ex they don't treat murder or violence as something funny or lovely because ITS NOT!!! If the creators were men we would come for their throats but 77% or more are women. So it may be something that needs to be addressed on another level as to why the content is viewed, who it is viewed by, and what the overall message or purpose may be. They may already have studies out there on why the content appeals to certain people based off of who is being portrayed as the victim or aggressor. But let’s think about it, who is going to do a study on why a bunch of women write stories about underage males being raped by older males for other women? That sounds like a nightmare.
