Basically, the 4th mugo is the original one, before it became fragme ted. Aprently, he was a mo tain god, and the family killed our dear luna so that they could trap him in the big ass pot and "tame" him, so to say. Each mugo is a face of the original one: the elder is obcessed with passing the oficial exam, like the original was so he would be able to take him to hanyang. The first mugo is his defense personality, crass and rude. The monster mugo is the innocent one. The forth mugo, the traumatized one, that probably vowed reve ge on the people that killed his Luna and trappedis the one who took mc into his subconscious, to protect him
