I feel like all genres are experiencing slopification or are have reached terminal velocity of tropeland. You can see it in gl and straight stuff too. I recommended this to Evie because they were going to also get into straight stuff but didn’t find anything compelling and when I thought of that the first thing that popped into my mind that is just really well written in both world building and character building AND has great romance is guardians of the lamb so I wanted to recommend it to them. I also recommend it to you if you don’t mind reading straight stuff, it really is one of the best stories I’ve read, it’s quite different. I hope you check it out. The same author actually wrote a really good yaoi too actually which may interest you, it’s also very well written, almost like a prologue to Guardians of the Lamb. I recommend checking out both.
