Zhenya is 203cm, not sure if that changes anything.
That makes it even worse/funnier. He’s so tall that he should be using a full size bass which isn’t even as tall as him either way

Okay it’s all I could focus on since I play contrabass and I’m stuck wondering why he’s playing a bass that looks like a 1/4 or 1/2 bass rather than a 3/4 or full size.
I love he uses a German bow, I HATE French bass bows with a passion, but why is he—a man I presume to be over 6’/180cm playing a smaller bass than me? I’m 5’6/169 cm and I play a 3/4 since first position is supposed to be around your ear.
It’d be funny if the reasoning behind it was that zhenya’s too lazy to move his arm as much as needed for a bigger bass and got a smaller one that he could play sitting on a chair
