there’s a saying, “pot calling the kettle black”,, it means someone’s a hypocrite because both the pot and the kettle are black!! so for the pot to call the kettle black, the pot ignores or doesn’t know it’s also black.
Its the short version of "the pot calling the kettle black" aka it's hypocritical because theyre both dirty.
