Furthermore, does the mc even know who his brother is? I don't recall any conversation between the two as to whether they are truly related or if the brother is some random grim reaper who took pity on a dying kid. We the readers know what happened, however the story never showed the mc asking questions or finding out the truth. That bothers me.
The ending unfortunately left a lot to be desired. What was the deal with the mls powers? Why was everyone saying he might pose a threat to the world? Wtf was going on with Yeom ra in the final chapters? Dude didn't even fight back he was killed so easily even though he didn't let the brother kill him all this time? Will the mc ever get back his memories of his first life? It kind of annoyed me that the mc made all these reckless decisions and went against what his brother asked, when he doesn't even know what his brother has been going through. Why did the Jade emperor never help? Why did the earth king lose his limbs? Who was the goddess that gave the ml's mother the flower? etc etc
Honestly this was a 9/10 story, but the subpar ending knocked it down to a 7/10
