At first, the story felt fairly normal: her love wasn’t reciprocated, and that was fine. He wasn’t obligated to love her, so at that point, there were no victims.
Then they were struck by the bows, and from then on, they both became victims of the situation, trapped in feelings that weren’t truly their own.
But now, in my opinion, she’s the victim of his love, because he became forceful. If you think about it, he’s no longer a victim. Just like at the beginning, his love isn’t reciprocated, and that’s still okay, she isn’t required to love him back. Instead of accepting that, he chooses to impose himself on her.
That’s why I dislike him. If he had simply loved her silently and left it at that, it would have been fine. But he rapes her (sexually assaults her, however you want to phrase it) and personally, that makes me deeply uncomfortable. That’s why I dislike him ig.
The difference between the beginnings issue (love not reciprocated) and now is, they're hit by arrows. If she simply fell out of love with him I would agree, except this time she is forced to hate him. We all have seen the lead up. She’s even questioning herself in the book like “can you really hate someone you loved this easily?”…while he’s been blinded by the arrows love and not thinking rationally … tbh tho how can that be gods fault if he was struck by the arrow? Pre -arrow he saw she was willing to give up her life for him…like literally her life. We all know what the arrow did so when u say ‘he assaults her’ —as disgusting as it is bc we get the internal monologue of the Amazonian — he doesn’t believe that she doesn’t love him the same.. the human girl wandered into his domain (irl was put there bc of Cupid) calling his name in the middle of the night, he (who has been struck) knowing she was willing to give up her life for him and had been pining for his love for years, thinks she’s forsaken her goddess… except this time unbeknownst to him, she has began to hate him, he cannot tell she hates him like this bc he’s completely blinded by cupids love….in conclusion I don’t personally think she’s a victim of his love, bc he’s also a victim…..they are both cupids victims…
Yeahhh kinda agree but iirc in the recent chapters she really looks disgusted by his behaviour(i dont remember if shes vocal about it tho), he should know by now that she doesn’t love him like when he first met her
I can see what you’re saying but tbh idk bc maybe Cupid actually blinds you from reality, so even though he’s agreeing with her and stuff, he probably just thinks she’s upset abt the past.. hopefully now, like after that last update, something changes and they don’t just bump coochies all day so we can finally get some plot bc it’s lackluster rn fr
I feel bad for them bc even though Apollo (that’s the yellow haired dudes name right???) is a jerk, he really didn’t do anything so bad to deserve this The girl swore and oath to chastity and etc, fell in love with him all on her own, and he is a god who had no concept of love or care, is scared of his sister (who owned her) and wasn’t in love with her….so what did u expect forreal? Did he have to love her back just bc she loved him? I’m lost on why yall hate him so much
Also, Cupid is toxic asf for this fr anyways it’s not really giving and I’m tired already…..can we get some plot soon?
