I’m trying to be your best friend cause this response was perfect. You can see in multiple instances the protection and peace of mind the pheromone showers actually give him, the MC has a problem with them cause of his inferiority complex about being an omega. He doesn’t even realize it’s happening until he starts to expose his pheromones again and realizes it was the ML’s covering them up not his own vigor.
Consent is key and at the end of the day the MC said no and that’s important to note, but he’s also an annoying character so i feel little empathy rn. I’m super looking forward to a point in the plot where we see the relationship shift, I’m super curious if there was a catalyst that pushed them over this edge or if the MC immediately lost it when the Alpha/Omega dynamic gets revealed.

What's wrong with using the jp terms for top/bottom? I wouldn't call it rape either, it might be closer to S.A but I can't blame people for calling ml gross and rapey. I loved the author's previous works but in this one, both of them are pretty unlikeable
what the ml did is like tampering with someone's food or medications. depending on how long it goes for and the impact on one's health, it can be fairly minor and solvable to very severe and consequential. rape isn't the crime he'd be charged, but it's still a violation of someone's boundaries and self-determination. even if the mc is being an ass, that's still not behavior he (or we) should condone.

This author previous works, phenomenal. I look forward to seeing how this one plays out. Right now, I’m on neither character side. The MC has an inferiority complex. The ML’s decisions are not EVIL, there’s no bad intentions behind his actions but communication is key. Seeing how every chapter reveals a sliver of how these characters think is what keeps you coming back.
