Chill with the words(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜.
Nobody stole nothing( ̄∇ ̄"), before a Artist create a story they get request or they ask the novel's author for permission.
PLUS: While creating the comic, the Artist always asks the original author for any chances they want to make and if the Author agrees then they go for it, or else without the author's permission it will be regarded as Copyright. ( ̄へ ̄)
And also lastly, if everything were to go accordingly to the novel, this can take more than 400chapters to be completed.
This crappy adaption that you say is what the Original Author gave approval to it n so basically you are also calling the original novel author as crappy and garbage for going along with the artist's changes.
Well then, if the company allowed it then that basically means the author allowed it no?.
If the author had a problem with it then the company wouldn't allow it because it will cause an issue (the author might give a copyright case). Yes they have contracts and if the contract didn't mention anything about changing of the plots then ofc the company may ask the author on it to give they're approval.
And also if the contract did have mentioned on changes of plot then the Author have already given they're approval to make changes.
In conclusion your point of this being stolen by Spoon doesn't stand because clearly it wasn't. The company gave spoon the "go for it" after getting Approval from the Author.
And also, before works begins they always draft a file/story to the author before getting a "go for it" sign because all rights go to the Author.
If this was really stolen by Spoon as you have said then why isn't there a Copyright case? Why is the Author silent after getting their works used and stolen? Why haven't the author mentioned anykind of disapproval or dislike?
"the author of Game of Thrones who sold his story to be adapted"
This is exactly it. The Author of this have already SOLD his story and agreed for it to be adapted. He already sign the contracts so now he doesn't have any right on the story because he has SOLD it, he is not longer the Author.
Because you can't take back somthing from somone after giving it away.
The contract the Author signed cannot be nullified once signed and if the author does then they need to make payment for the company's lost as well for nullifing the contract which they gave approval to.
Adapting a story is not “stealing” when the original author has agreed, sold the rights, and signed the contract. Adaptation is its own kind of creativity. It means changing a story to fit a new medium, a new audience, or a new culture. Many great writers, like Shakespeare and even George R. R. Martin, used ideas and influences from earlier stories. Making something new from an existing story does not mean lack of creativity. It is just a different kind of creativity.
From the moment a company adapts a light novel in Korea, it buys those rights.
So, when Spoon, as an artist, kept insisting that she continue her own story based on one already made that she was adapting, that's stealing.
Whether you like it or not.
Especially to make a garbage adaptation like this.
With good reason, the Korean fans are giving her so much hate.
Honestly, it was a poorly done job, whether you like it or not. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I can already imagine the next adaptations where she agrees to adapt a novel and then tries again to steal that story as her own, haha.
You’re contradicting yourself. If the company legally bought the adaptation rights, then it isn’t “stealing.” An adaptation, even with changes or original elements, is still made under permission and contract. You can dislike the adaptation and call it poorly done—that’s your opinion—but calling it theft is factually wrong. Disliking something doesn’t turn a legal adaptation into stealing.
You can dislike an adaptation.
You can criticize the artist.
But you cannot call it stealing when the rights were legally obtained.
That’s just ignorance dressed up as confidence. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I'm sorry to disappoint you, dear, but unfortunately for you, most people are against this adaptation, especially of the Spoon sides. Just because some people here are saying she did a wonderful job doesn't make it true. If you go anywhere else, you'll see I'm right. As much as it stings and hurts you, it's still true.
Just read everything I wrote again, you can certainly reach a better conclusion than that.
That may also depend on your level of education; I don't know if I'm talking to someone who is 12 years old or someone who is 30.
I hope it's the first option, because otherwise it definitely hurts to see this level of interpretation. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Personal insults don’t fix a flawed argument. You still haven’t explained how something can be “stealing” when the adaptation rights were legally purchased and the work was produced under contract. If your point is that the adaptation is bad, say that—but calling it theft is incorrect by definition. Dismissing this with age or education jabs doesn’t change how adaptation law or creative practice works.
Ahh well I didn't read the entire comment section here. It's still fine if majority hates it. I will still stand by the fact that it is good. Something like that doesn't hurt me lol (unlike uhh someone else here). And u mentioned in one reply here that the other person seems like a 12 year old. Well the irony is that the way u are arguing like your life depends on it here makes u seem 12. There are better ways to spend your time than arguing about fiction. It's not like the novel author will come here and applaud you for your "wise words"ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

This is garbage compared to the light novel. Spoon simply STOLE the original novel and did whatever she wanted with this crappy adaptation.
It's like watching Game of Thrones again with that awful ending.
