I mean even the author is accused of plagiarism from dote story. U can find a lot of threads on twitter. Spoon was not criticised because she just drew the story initially. But now they have turned against her cause she did not stay faithful to the original story. I mean she just draws who she likes ig, but because she is the official artist people are pissed.
Wait, like the official novel didn't Athy ended with Lucas even in the manhwa?
And the extras were just "what if?" so the relationship between that and the main story doesn't mix because those extras are different.
Plus eh- most of the novel adaptation to comics never stays the same. I understand that Spoon did it her way but it's her work and she got approval for it. I've never read the novel but she served us the meal even if it was not exactly the same as in the novel. (Atleast Spoon didn't give us somthing like OVR's Live-Action movie lol)
I dropped the story ages ago. But yes these are definitely "what if". But I think fans will still be pissed lol cause I definitely did, when in my favourite stories, the artist keeps showing second lead with more scenes and giving more focus, also drawing AUs. Ig they would have been fine if the canon pair got the same limelight... For me, I know.live actions go way different from source material but I have rarely seen webtoon adaptation do that. So if the artist go way different with the scene portrayal from novels, it might be chaotic.

At some point in between I evn started thinking Ezekiel was the end game.
Maybe spoon wanted the readers to be at edge (who didn't read the novel) so that they will be more invested into the story to know who Athy ends up with. Because some people liked Ezekiel and wanted Athy to be with him instead of Lucas. So it was a Win Win situation for the Artist to get more attention to the story which had both negative and positive feedbacks.
But I swear the Art did 80% of the job and the Fathers(づ￣ ³￣)づ
So it seems according to one reader the Artist Spoon "Stole" the story of the novel "Suddenly become a princess one day". And that according to them, it's a garbage adaptation because Spoon made changes in it.
They also said on how "the company bought the rights for the adaptations"(which basically means changes in the story from the novel is valid and approved by the og Author) But the reader says Spoon is "Stealing" the story.
I don't get it? If the company have already bought the rights for adaptation (which means the novel Author approved it and has no problem) then how comes the "Adaptation" became "Stealing"?Σ( ￣□￣||)
