That’s cuz he thought it was from that no good princess. So now all he know is that Ari is married and he is upset, I don’t think he even wants to return to her now that she is married but then again who knows
Ari hasn't heard from Alfonso in forever, she doesn't know what's going on. Reading their story, makes it seem like he's been gone for a little while, but he could have been gone from the period of 6 months to a year, that's a long time to wait for someone without communication.
Let's not forget her issues with Cesare, with him seeming all sincere, she's not wrong for thinking he might not be the same as her last life, and I'm not holding that against her.
She's just a confused girl, who's doing her best with the information she has. She's made a lot of progress in my opinion.
