It's not a spin off. KML was just the first story the author released of this universe. These manhwa adaptions are based on (web)novels. That universe has two series (KML belongs to one of them) and stories that are not related to them (Kiss the scumbag is one of them), but there are appearences of known characters. That will happen here too.
And concerning the fireman...I guess you really don't know...so prepare yourself mentally....
1. He is a dominant omega.
2. He is Grayson Miller's pair.
3. The webnovel "Desire me if you can" (part of the Miller family series) was released earlier this year.

There is a universe? I didn't know that. I only read KML years ago and I don't even remember what the story was. But I'm sure I'm gonna hate it now if I re-read it. I already dropped Kiss me if you can and I don't think I gonna continue reading this one either. I guess the author's real audience is those who like clichés and toxic relationships. And Fireman is omega and he will gonna pair with that MF, yeah no thank you. Anyway, thank you for explaining it.
I didn't read everything of the author either, some stories are ok and others one should better avoid if you can't stand certain things. I read KML and the "if you can series". The Millers, except for the grandparents story, are actually so far ok. But I read the novels.
But why did I even read those stories?....because "Kiss me liar" pissed me off!
While reading Kiss me liar, I found out that the author planned a story Grayson x Dane, and Dane being a dominant omega. Compare Dane to Yeonwoo, and I wanted to see one of those dominant alphas have to deal with someone like Dane.
And finally this year the time came... ... ...and somehow Grayson became my favorite character of the author.lol
I didn't anticipate this to happen, but it did happen... . So you never know.
