to be fair she worked with that old women who reccomended her the job for years and her life had be currently so peacuful it made sense why she let her guard down
and I will agree with you! It’s just the culmination of every event in the story (plus I binged and this is the first chapter to release since I’ve caught up loll (=・ω・=) )
This level of constant naïveté might’ve worked (even though it would still piss me off) if she was like 20. She’s in her mid-30s. I binged so I can’t even remember when it was, but she stood up for herself like once? Twice max? You’d think with how long she’s been alive (and living in poverty, mind you) she might have learned more deeply about self-preservation. Not every FMC needs to be a badass force to be reckoned with, and we can understand why she is meek at times. However, I don’t enjoy the way she has been a bystander quite a few times in her own life. Looking forward to like major character development because I do still feel this is an interesting premise!
