I am not justifying Seoins actions before, he's a dick too at that time but we readers expected him (Taegu) to be a father figure or cthe voice of reason in this series for Yeongwon because he saved Yeongwon from his violent father and somehow took care of him until he grew up to be a proper adult. If I'm not wrong, he saved Yeongwon when he was in highschool right? So some readers like me perceive him as someone who should not have feeling towards Yeongwon. this chapter shows us YW being vulnerable and drunk when Taegu visited him but why take advantage of it? Yes YW is probably an adult at that time but there was no consent to it for him to do that. And now, YW clearly says no, but he pushes himself on him coz he's feelings can't be contained anymore? It's not an excuse actually. If we look back on previous chapters of his POV, he eventually had feelings for him before he got older.
I get the anger of others towards Seoin but he was first introduced to the series as someone who has slept with a bunch of men. While Taeugu was first introduced as someone who is close to YW like a father to him, a guide in his messed up life before, or a family, the voice of reason and now witnessing him do this to YW is somehow a betrayal to readers coz he was not introduced that way. Seoins ass and dick atitude was established in season 1 that is why we readers expect already that he will eventually change coz there must be some reason why he's like that. If Taeugu was introduced as a possible love interest from the beginning where he is not totally connected to yeongwon when he was in highschool, in a familial type of way, it's ok.

He’s 6 years older than Yeongwoon at most. He didn’t raise him, he’s not his father, he just helped out a kid in need- with no ulterior motives. If he had ulterior motives, that’d be grooming. His feelings changing once YW is an adult isn’t pedophilia- and still he doesn’t act on those feelings until YW is at least 22/23 (at which point Taegu would have been in his late 20s btw). Given that they’re still close after that incident, it’s safe to say that Taegu likely backed off at the time and respected YW’s boundaries since. So I don’t see the problem with that either. There are plenty of age gap manhwas where the adult ML knew the MC as a child. Soooo so many, but yall don’t have issue with that because ML is main lead. The only issue with Taegu here is that he’s forcing himself on YW- which is exactly what Seoin did too
Ulterior motives btw (cause I feel like I need to spell it out for you) is expecting smth in return for his help, or using his power and authority over YW to make YW comply with sexual demands. He hasn’t done that. Get your terminology correct. It pmo
You seeing Taegu as a father figure is your interpretation tho. I’ve never seen Taegu that way, and when he was first introduced, it was as YW’s boss and Hyung (which is just Korean for close older friend). And Taegu was introduced as second ML, for readers who actually paid attention. It’s Taegu’s hand in the cover photo and the author herself stated it many times. Like youre all just forgetting how YW and Taegu messed around at the start, like the scene where Taegu was showing his bruise to YW.
You act as if Taegu literally invited YW into his house, changed his diaper, and tugged him into bed every night. He just helped YW access the social support services he needed and kept an eye on him.
At the end of the day, the first time he had feelings for YW, YW was already 19 (as shown in this chapter). So not a pedo, by definition. And the help that Taegu offered was given without the expectation of anything in return, nor did he make YW dependent on him (he did the opposite, helping YW become independent)- so not grooming, by definition
