Disclaimer, this isnt fluffy. Its angsty but very good plot less smutty more plotty. Basically, it focuses on a resident in Kowloon walled city. If u dont know, its this very very very dense city in kowloon hongkong in the 50s to 90s and known to be a melting pot of crime and cheap unregulated services u can look it up. mc works as a pharmacist, he also makes some of his medicines, but behind the scenes hes also making drugs for the triad but wants to stop. Then one day, his boss dumps him a dying body and tasked to house him in and keep him alive, promising to collect him after a while and then he can quit making drugs. Then he got entangled with the dying body, physically and emotionally. Which his boss didnt like. Now he gotta choose between staying alive but a slave. Or free or die trying. The story was great at fleshing out the environment and dynamics in the city. And near accurate depiction of the setting.

not at all smutty since the author “has” stated it’ll likely just be platonic romance if nothing changes story wise besides “boy” having a “confirmed” crush on tera’s absolutely fine ass

but tldr: “boy” (yes, we all call him boy, tera included since we still don’t know his fucking name still, so don’t take offence to tera or anyone referring to that, it’s intentional) meet’s a gangster named tera unintentionally and they keep meeting over and over in various ways to the point that tera actually grows subtly fond and quite protective of “boy”

however, as later revealed tera prior to the main story was involved in the death’s of the “boy’s” family, and now he feels pretty guilty while “boy” himself has no idea tera was even involved in the first place, “boy” went though hell from what we’ve been told and seen because of his family’s deaths, and is still suffering from it too in some pretty woah okay holy shit ways

unfortunately it’s really fucking slow update wise, meaning we’re lucky to get 1 chapter a month (usually between the 10th and 20th if memory serves me right?) alongside patreon art and the authors other pages such as their tumblr

I love it though! the art’s fun, the author is a sweetheart and cheeky and absolutely deserves to take as much time as they need, y’know?

I love this one with all my heart because the ml is so sweet and protective of the mc, who as a former idol is understandably fucked up mentally from his own past which he can’t remember much of, but the plot is quite rushed unfortunately but it’s still really good
