Just wait and see. He loves him, but the change is not only his fault. There is more story to tell about the types in this world. So there is something the MC doesnt know about himself.
I agree with you. I did read the novel. In my eyes this is not green. interesting is how he defends his point of view until the moment the truth came to light. it hit him like lightning. the entire construct collapses. the way both go and the story behind it is still so well described that I just couldn't stop buying new chapters I'm currently at the "Sitestories" and I'm curious to see what else the characters will experience. I dont want to spoiler anyone so iam silencing myself now :x
Yes, he is hot and yes i am enjoying this story, however anyone calling him a greenflag despite reading the novel, is wrong, because there's going to be a clear lack of consent regarding something very important.

Here's one of the exact comments by the novel readers: NOT a green flag. He knows that knotting the MC will change the MC into an omega and he hides it from him. And it’s this gross loss of agency that only he knows about and the MC has no idea about it or why he’s suddenly experiencing sudden emotional whirlwinds.
So he basically turns mc into an omega WITHOUT his consent, and mc is left confused about what's happening to him.
