Well that's what happens when you don't actually read the full chapter. You call her a horny fool but she was just sexually assaulted

She was NOT sexually assaulted. She was fine to the point they got, he didn't really do much and stopped because he (surpassingly) respects her. She only panicked when he touched her hands, which are covered by wounds from the repercussions of sending the plague to the other kingdom. THEN she panicked because of the whole situation, but that's another story

She was asking him to stop the whole time. She was not fine. He pushed forward with his own feelings. Yes she got angry and slapped him when he grabbed her gloves, but she did Not give proper consent for him to continue or even start what he was doing. Especially considering they were at a big event where they could be caught... And guess what happened..
Anything less than enthusiastic consent is not consent. She may not have been fighting him hard in the beginning but she was saying no and stop from the beginning. Just bc he "didn't do much" doesn't mean what he did wasn't assault.

Girl first of all, I'm not the one that called her a horny fool. It's good to be horny, long live the horny. Anyhow, are we even reading the same thing? SHE initiated the kiss and was pretty into it, and as soon as she showed discomfort, he stopped. I'm sorry that what happened to you happened: I've been through that as well, I can understand. But don't project your experience onto everything. She was not assaulted and only reacted that way because of her hands and because she realized she was caving into her feelings for Cesare.

I went back and read it with your perspective in mind and I do see where you can make the argument she initiated things, but sh didn't initiate it to go this far. All she did was kiss him, he pushed further. She said things like "wait" and "I'm still" "this is too much" etc. those are soft verbal cues of revoking consent. Did he slowly start to pull away? Yes but did he keep pushing and then Start to pull off her gloves? Also yes.
We also see his inner monologue here and it's very "everyone hates me, why can't I have what I want" and bc of that it pushed her to leave the room and run... Now causing a public scene.
I bring up my experiences bc I recognize the "well I didn't Actually push you hard" excuse my assaulters gave. Sa isn't always violence. It can be pushy people.
My original response to this og comment was to say that she was Not being a "horny fool" here. She initiated a kiss only, she didn't ask for more. He wanted more.
This scenario is not her fault. It is his for getting carried away. And you can make the argument that is assault. Regardless of who started what.
