Where us your proof that tanned are being barbarians in countless other stories? The fact is, most barbarians in mangas are actually pale skinned/ whites being barbarians because most manga are from japan and mostly pale skinned live there. And they dont usually draw tanned skinned because the their fans/ the japanese dont like it. Just like in their videogames as well.

I'm pointing out how other stories with a tanned ML, they're often portrayed as southern barbarians who only knows how to have fun, who likes colors, who likes 'vulgarities'. Whereas, the white people of the north, the capital—are the 'knowledgeable' ones of the empire, classy, elegant, demure. What part you somehow missed out on that I typed tanned ML are sexualized by being stereotyped as barbarians—but the female lead would always be a white blonde woman?
