I’m not entirely sure on this, but I get the sense that in manga the editor plays a bigger role compared to webtoons. Like, the editor has more control and can actually say no to some of the authors ideas. Since they’re essentially professional story guiders they’re better at telling a story in a shorter amount of chapters and can do it well
Basically Manga industry has more strict guidelines. Mangakas have someone who will make sure their work is worth publishing.
Meanwhile I'm pretty sure a lot of webtoons are done by one individual only (at least for BLs) Webtoons platforms barely cares for quality as long as the artist meet their quota for the week just because young readers will still eat it up.

I love how, despite already being in its fourth volume, the story never gets tiring. Meanwhile, majority of bl webtoons are 100 chapters in and still don't know which direction the plot should take jxhusjshshdud
This is why by volumes releases are superior. Creators have more time to plan the storyboard.
