Well, they are. To explain my pov, I like to enjoy a wholesome and intimate moments in a story. I don't like when they're interrupted with silly scenes (by others, I mean). That's just my opinion ofc. I like a good mix of silly-sad when it's consistent. But in my opinion, the magical animals with their cute shenanigans are extremely out of place here. Or I was taking the story for what it's not, until I encounter the animals.
The animals are so ruining the moment...
