I disagree with the idea that a woman in her 50s having a “20-year-old body” . Many women in my mother’s social circle are in their 50s and have great physiques for their age specially her best friend (the auntie i was talking about in mr prevoius comment), whose built is close to the stepmother’s. Framing this as "20 yo body" feels ignorant and stereotypical.
It’s also important to consider ethnicity, since some groups visibly age differently. For example, many Asian celebrities especially Korean ones maintain good shape well into their 40s and beyond. In my Black entourage, women like Miss Baek are very common, so this kind of physique for her age is not unusual for us to see. ( i would just said miss baek should be more slim than be very thin , that again it's just a drawing so realism are not going to be 100% on point)
I don’t see how the author isn’t girl-girl. The artist draws women with clearly different body types. Not all of them are idealized or curvy like the female lead or the stepmother; we also see many side characters, around ajhuma age, with drastic different built from the step mom, she litteraly the onl of them looking like this. So that' not a agenda there.
As for some girls looking young facially that 's a fair critique which i can agree with you , i also crictize it sometimes ( i just disagree about the body proportion of the new girl be a child because its kinda offensive for women who are short and flat, especially the youthful looking one ) like i said it's the problem with very stylised and simple (Bug eyes, tiny nose ) many comic suffers from it , but That again it's just an simplified artsyle that had been a thing since there from begining of art and shaped many artist without much thought, not a pedo thing ( japanese be weird country is another discussion) let's just hope for the artist's art on women to mature overtime instead making baseless accusation. You can see the difference ( doe round eyes type vs foxy round eyes type) , the main issue in the art is that author just suffer from suffer from moslty used these facial features which lead to the same same face sydrom.
