Don't get me wrong in all cases of it happening I've loooooved mcs main bodies dearly BUT the whole process of a body swap is just an extremely fun plot to me.

And in all cases of it happening that I've read mcs before the swap were not really into mls like that. Like I don't know if they were dense bisexuals or full on straight but it's like being put inside the body of a cute gay man opens them to the idea of being into men? That begs the question is your body the gay one or your mind? We shall never know. And i get that it's heteronormative and all that but it just makes sense for the plots that it's used in.
And I thought about a reverse of it. Like a pretty boy being swapped into a more masculine or burly body and as much as that's a very fun plot to explore it feels more like a slice of life or comedy or something like that just exploring the everyday differences and maybe advantages and disadvantages of this new body instead of a typical romance with the kind of yaoi semes we're used to. But now that I've thought about it I desperately need to see it happen

like the mc could become a cute bear that loves everything cutesy and finds love despite people not expecting him to be a bottom or into stuff like that... but you get what I'm saying it wouldn't work with mls like this it would deserve a cute love story not an angsty or tragic one
