i wish for fl to have good female friends too but reducing this down to just that trend takes away from all the abuse the FL faced in her life starting with her own PARENTS when she was a kid
Does it, because that's exactly what the trend encapsulates too. An unfortunate woman who is being courted by a wealthy man willing to do anything to protect her. Yeah it's not nice to make a joke out of others' misfortune, at the same time this story often leans on cringeworthy unrealistic wattpad clichés that make it difficult in itself to take seriously 100%.
I don’t think the right word is “evil” the closest person who’s like that is the stepmom. Other girls are just shady, not evil (possibly the mistress and that one coworker at the flower shop).
The new rich girl doesn’t seem bad so far, and haesoo’s other female coworker from her other job is pretty nice to her. So there’s a balance of mom being the worst, two girls in between, and two girls on the nicer side.
