SPOILER WARNING . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . from what i see and have read from the novel, it doesn’t seem like richard doesn’t love her. yall the dude is twisted in the head. he doesn’t know how to express his feelings. it’s less like he doesn’t “love” her and more like he doesn’t understand what love is. and honestly, for a character like richard, it’s kinda realistic that he wouldn’t be able to tell her. you may not get the gratification of an “i love you” moment and may have to take richard (and both of their poor communication skills) as it is, but try not let spoilers ruin your impression of an entire story before you stop reading guys. despite reading about his emotional immaturity, i’ve personally continued to enjoy the story, their cute kids, and their matured dynamic.
