I called their thinking shallow because they're reducing Eunhyuk and his defenders to the most surface-level interpretation possible. They're literally saying 'whatever reason Eunhyuk has, it's not valid', so they're pre-emptively dismissing any context or explanation before even considering it. Then they claim people only defend him because 'they find him handsome or hate the other characters.' They're just making up motivations for people instead of actually trying to engage with what they're saying. It's easier to dismiss everyone as superficial than to actually listen to their arguments, especially when you already dislike the character.
Eunhyuk was a green flag for over 100 chapters. He was kind, supportive, and genuinely cared for Su-ae. The decade gap is a writing choice the author made to drag out drama, and a lot of us see it as character assassination, not who Eunhyuk actually is as a character. When I’m ‘defending’ him, I'm not excusing his ghosting, as is the case for I’d say most people with a brain. I'm frustrated with how the author handled his character. I'm defending the character I adored for 100+ chapters before the writing went downhill. OP’s thought process is shallow because they're taking one controversial plot point and using it to erase everything that came before, while dismissing everyone who disagrees as either superficial or having no self-respect. You can dislike where the story went with Eunhyuk, that's completely valid. You can dislike him. I don’t care. But personally attacking people who still like him and making assumptions about why is unnecessary and way too aggressive for a discussion about a manwha.
And also, to you two who responded to me. Shy are you being condescending instead of actually responding to what I said? If you disagree with me calling their thinking shallow, then explain why. Otherwise you're just being rude for no reason. I wasn't trying to be rude with my original comment, I just didn't have a better way to phrase it. But there's no need to start being aggressive and condescending. These fan wars are ridiculous. We can have different opinions about characters without mocking each other. It gets nobody anywhere.
Are you serious right now? Did you even read the thread? I'm not 'tweaking over someone's opinion on a fictional character.' The original comment said people who like Eunhyuk have ‘no self-respect’ and only like him because he's hot. That's not an ‘opinion’ about a character, that's insulting REAL PEOPLE for their preferences in a manwha. You’re describing OP. Not me. I have not personally attacked someone because they a different 2D character than me. Because as you said, it’s not that deep.
Y'all just want a reason to be hostile and condescending to anyone who doesn't agree with you. I wasn't rude to any of you, I made a point, it was misunderstood, so I explained myself further. But apparently that's too much as well. Damned if I do, damned if I don't. You mock me for not explaining, then when I do explain, you mock me for writing too much. You attack people's self-respect over a character preference, but when someone responds, suddenly they're the one overreacting? I've never seen people so hostile over a manhwa unprovoked. This is ridiculous.

whatever reason eunhyuk has, it is still not valid to ghost someone for a decade then comeback as if nothing happened. people just justify his ass and make excuses bcs they either find him handsome or just hate sooae and dowha
