He was gone to Russia for some time and taekjoo missed him and only after he came back did we found out that he was getting engaged but ended up doing something to call off the engagement(?) sorry it's been a long time since I've read the novel but I do remember him being engaged but only briefly mentioned
Oops sorry, maybe he was engaged to someone. I too read it a long time ago so I have forgotten a lot of details. I just remembered the major events that happened and the engagement isn't that important so maybe it's skipped from my mind.
From what I read before in the comment is that he will marry someone but amidst the wedding ceremony he will call it off?
