You should give the manhwa another try before you dis it. The Korean readers were disappointed about the art style, but it massively improves in Season 2. As far as adaptations go, the artist’s done a really good job at capturing the deranged emotions of the different characters. Sure the adaptation is watered down, even moreso the official eng, but the fan translation uses the novel as reference (and isn’t beholden to censorship), so it’s fairly decent (if I do say so myself )
I took a peek at the latest chapter before commenting but yeah it looks better than the first season from what I remember. I don't know if I will be able to pick this up again someday, aside from the artstyle and character design problem, I really love how dark the novel is I wish they kept it as close to the novel. I do know the official translation sucks but I didn't know the fantranslation part. mad respect to them for using novel references. I might pick this up again someday just for that lol
