...I still don't understand why everyone feels sorry for Bum and will excuse everything he has done because he had a bad childhood...when Sangwoo doesn't get an iota worth of sympathy even though he suffered the same...Hypocrisy at its best!...Anyway, I was disappointed that Bum lied to Sangwoo and didn't even try to help him...I mean he is an accomplice to murder and did the dirty deed himself. There's always a choice. He didn't have to go along with him, he could have chosen death...He's also a stalker who broke into Sangwoo's house...I still want that nosey cop dead! Lol

Because Bum's not a serial killer.

You see both characters are at fault ... Its called killing stalking because those are the main issues that both characters have ... Sangwoo is the idea of killing while Bum is the idea of Stalking ... And i think we give enough sympathy for sangwoo from time to time .. Infact sympathy for him has always been here its just that sympathy for Bum is much more visible and can be felt in the air because the author have already given us a lot of 'bad things' that Bum have experiences... While if you re-read and focus on Sangwoo .. Sangwoo's whole background is still mysterious that is why lots of readers still can't read sangwoo.. Since he is being nice in moment but then cruel and harsh in the next moments to the point that you think that Sangwoo may just be playing around with Bum hence not really nice... Sangwoo is unpredictable hence hinders readers to relate more to him thus have a hard time to when and where they should sympathize Sangwoo... (but then again he's mysteriousness is what chills you for more and more)

Like for example We learn in Bum's view that he was saved (whether indirectly or not) by sangwoo when Bum was once in military... But then we don't get Sangwoo nor even The author recalling back to that to explain more (author san might reserve it for the next chapter but still) and if you notice...through the whole chapters in this manwha it is mostly in Bum's point of view hence makes the readers understand or even relate to the character Bum is... i was actually hoping for the chapter where it is in sangwoo's point of view because he is just so mysterious my curiosity cannot handle it ( seriously i hope there is one or more chapters where it is in sangwoo's POV sonce ya know Bum might be an unreliable narrator) what is more is that... I still don't trust Bum anyways tho i just pity hi

There's a clear difference in the intentions. I do believe that taking many lives is worse than taking one. Especially when the person who's taken many lives shrugs it off and the person who's taken one feels guilt.

You are part of the few...I've encountered too many that hate Sangwoo and while rationally, I can see why, I still see the hypocrisy...From your breakdown I can see the logic, But we have seen glimpses of Sangwoo's childhood. His parents were the catalyst, big time...Yes, it would be nice to see more in depth into his psyche but it's part of the mystery that keeps people tuned in. I can understand why the author isn't being clear but it's obvious in Sangwoo's small flashbacks...You have a good grasp, but I am just pointing out what I have read from readers...I feel for both, and just because one is a developed serial killer doesn't mean the other accomplice and one time killer, whom stalks, gets a fresh clean victim slate...that's all I am saying...And thanks for conversing w/o the bashing of my opinion. It's refreshing! x)..I don't trust anyone in this manwha, not even that nosey cop. Lol

...Even one life is precious and too much...In the court of law, what you said may be the case but to the family or loved ones from that one dead person is more than enough...Anyway feeling guilt doesn't take away from the original sin. He acts just fine until Sangwoo acts up at him, or is hurtful to him, otherwise he is an accomplice that has kept quiet and enjoys his time with Sangwoo...Can you understand where I am coming from?

Yes but a lot of people are excusing Bum based upon reasoning a court of law would use. All life is precious but all killers are not punished the same.

That is a lot of assuming...I don't think people here all might be seeing it the way you do...I think if Sangwoo treated Bum better all lovey dovey, they would be rooting for him...lol

If Sangwoo treated Bum all lovey dovey he wouldn't be a psychopath. That would change his character and the story entirely.

    awwi August 30, 2017 6:26 am

You call people hypocrits who think that the character who killed one person and feels guilty about it isn't as bad as the serial killer who thinks all of his victims deserved to die, because you believe that taking one life is as bad as taking many which makes a normal murderer just as despicable as a serial killer.
But at the same time you're disappointed because Bum didn't help the serial killer when he fought against a cop who wants to stop him and you even want to see the cop dead?
I hope you see why your logic is flawed.

No I understood what you wrote. The point you're trying to make is that Sangwoo had it bad, too and that's why he isn't worse than Bum because Bum's also a criminal. You think that every killer is equally bad doesn't matter how many people he killed, how he feels about it or why he kills people.
You're calling people who don't think the way you do (and most people don't) hypocrits because you like Sangwoo and you're trying to defend him but your arguments make no sense.

    Anonymous August 30, 2017 6:52 am
But that wasn't the point I was making... WickedLilith

I'm saying the hypothetical situation is irrelevant because the story would no longer be the same. People would respond differently because the story would be different. You can't swap out the current Sangwoo with a lovey dovey Sangwoo and have the same events happen.

i honestly understand where you're coming from on this. Even if Bum didn't kill anyone, it was completely shitty of him to not even try to help Sangwoo. He could've simply pushed the cop back downstairs but no. some may say he was scared but really? why would he be scared to push a cop downstairs when he can stab a girl in a chest MANY TIMES, do his best to win a card game so the other guy dies, FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET INTO SOMEONE'S HOME, and etc. like really? that's a load of bullshit. I already have a bad feeling of what's going to happen when they go back home because of his betrayal.

No no no, he wasn't just 'in love's with Sangwoo; he was crazy OBSESSED with him! He stalked home and broke into his house, for god's sake! He's in his current situation thanks to his own criminal activities.
