Like every chapter talked about dying or killing someone so it doesn't surprise me at all.
It's america, so carrying guns around is not that strange. I have a friend that walks around with a Ruger in her purse, lol. Though I think she's not supposed to actually carry it around... Welp.
And I wouldn't say it's random, the whole story was made just for that scene... or rather that scene was drawn first, the author later added the "background" chapters, if I got that right.
I, for one, thinks it is very obvious. Just from the title and the cover of the manga, the gun is somehow emphasized. In the last pages of the FIRST chapter, there is a part where uke said that he wanted to kill Alex and the gun was briefly showed in a panel so yeaaaaaaah it is not completely random like you said (〜￣△￣)〜
but nobody wants to notice things like that smh ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
I dunno what the author had mind when he added the stupid gun thing do people normally carry guns like that? Maybe he wanted to give the story a twisted feel but it went stupidly wrong overall i liked the manga it's a good one.
