i mean if it is a strategy bum will know sangwoo isnt that dumb to confess. and isnt dumb enough to blame bum because bum will show them the basement and show the bat he smashed his legs with. he will probably start screaming saying they are liars and sangwoo loves him and sangwoo will see that bum is in distress, going to the cops saying theyve done enough damage and they had no reason or right to tell bum lies (his twisted way of making himself seem innocent) bc seungbae and the cop that came for bum at the end of the chapter were talking about catching them and "getting a promotion" maybe they came up with the trick to trick bum and sangwoo into confessing making it seem they had this AMAZING plan to catch murderers and then they would be promoted.. but bum will go nuts saying they are liarrs and sangwoo would never confess to anything. saything that sangwoo is in love with him. THIS CAN GO SO MANY WAYS

LMAO my girlfriend and i talk deeply in plots so i always dig deep and try to connect with the characters. we had this one head canon if bum ever died by sangwoo's hands accidentally he would keep the body and hallucinate about him still being alive. kinda like he had done with his mother, but he so messed up, he would keep bum and see him everywhere as if he was always around
