I think it's the author's style this time because the scan group has the best translations. I think the style had too many things to infer. The last two chapters of Jigoku Meguri were like that. Most likely it's cultural and doesn't translate well.
i mean, im not confused but it was still pretty difficult to understand and grasp the plot of the manga. had to reread the whole chapter a few times to understand what was going on. dunno if it's the author's writing or the scan group's translation
