Nope it is not as simple as that. If you read the story properly you would notice he does not know in the least what's going on. There are other major wealthy players working behind the scenes to separate our two lovers. And the executives and CEO of T-Rex also have major parts to play in what is about to go down. I don't want to spoil anything for you but you will find out about what's going on in due time.
... I just know what fucker is behind all that... I just bet its Conors "brother"... Think about it, he was always in love with Simon and he hates Conor. And the last scene... i bet he just saw it and payed te guys to get rid of Conor.
