I don't think so. I just think he's trying to explain too much of it at once within too few pages.
Take UQ holder, a far more convoluted manga than this. However it's easier to understand since the info comes in bits and pieces.
I think the author of this is trying to put way to many ideas in one story. It's all over the place.
