This story gave me an uncomfortable feeling. It's just stupid how the author made such a show of how "same sex relationships, even though they're not that common, they're perfectly acceptable", but then it was as if every single girl in this story just existed to contradict this, and prove that heterosexual romance is stronger than any same-sex partnership. Even the way that girl who was trying to get together with Gil was all like "he's in a same-sex relationship so he won't reject me", it's as if nobody really takes same-sex relationships seriously, and it's just.... extremely disgusting.
It would have made more sense to tag this as shoujo instead of shounen-ai, because there was a much more deeper remark on the "love" of heterosexual couples, while the same-sex could have easily all passed as platonic.
God, this just made me sick.

I think you didn't really get into the story, or started reading this full of prejudices... It's not about remarks, it's all about feelings. That story overflows with love in a very subtle manner. You know what is said, it's the journey that matters, not the destination. I loved following the characters, seeing them express their love in their own way and face the struggles they meet depending on their situations.
It was a way more interesting and original approach than the usual omegaverses.

I read this because I really loved another of the author’s works. I didn’t read it with the mindset of hating on it at all. And though I agree maybe that is what the author was going for (the subtle shows of love), it was just strange to me how the heterosexual couples were way more vocal & straightfward about their “love” & in my eyes outshone the bond of the gay couples. It gave me the feel of something written by an unconsciously homophobic person. I mean, I doubt the author was aiming for that either, but that was how I, a gay person, interpreted it. It’s tirying when authors shy away from really addressing things.
