I also think sensei was too rough here but I don't hate him for it like a lot of ppl here. Midori was wrong to bring his former over without letting him know, no matter his reason for it. Of course this does not excuse sensei's behavior but I'm just saying that he's not a complete asshole - he does care about midori. you can see this when he is trying to be cold and indifferent and midori coughs. He ends up being unable to remain stoic and turns around because he feels bad
