Eh, he was clearly nursing a crush to begin with, and then she grabbed him and kissed him when the rival girl expressed interest in him. -We- know she was trying to make Xiao You jealous, but it's pretty easy for somebody to interpret that as her making a claim. No matter how you look at it, she definitely led him on.
I mean, even if he's just a friend, she's ditching his basketball game ON HIS BIRTHDAY to go see the cosplay performance of the girl she likes. This is after she promised to attend, after she kissed him out of nowhere.
